Located in Venice, California, this compound includes a main and guest house, a solar-heated pool that sits atop a 12 car garage, a 3 story elevator, and Goldbrecht windows and doors. Many sustainable features were included such as; stormwater collection for reuse, hydronic radiant heating, photovoltaic panels, a solar chimney, and sustainably harvested tropical hardwood details. The main facade consists of five vertical, tilt-up slabs of concrete which function as a sound barrier against a busy street and are staggered to allow windows in between.
