This custom, single-family residence on a walk street in Venice, California, was built around an existing 1920s craftsman home. The contemporary design includes a rooftop deck, light wells and skylights, and a partially enclosed pool. Sustainable features are included, such as a bi-facial solar canopy and radiant heating. It also uses cedar from the original Hollywood Bowl seating and repurposed it as siding for the facade.
