Project
Description:
Restoration and remodel
of a historical residence originally built in 1923 in the Redondo
Beach Gaslight District.
The interior was completely
gutted to the bare framing members. Framing that had dry rot and
termite damage was replaced. The structure was shored up and leveled.
An addition of approx
425sqft of living space, 400sqft roof top deck with ocean view
and a 400sqft garage was added to the residence.
The living space addition
included a dining room with sliding French doors, second bathroom,
walk-in-closet and additional square footage of the master bedroom.
Living room: Built-in
bookcase, home theater system
Kitchen: Hickory cabinets, Corian counters, slate mosaic backsplash
with GE stainless steel appliances
Bathroom: Silestone counter & limestone backsplash, floor
& shower
Second Bathroom: Carrera White marble counter, 4x6 white porcelain
tile in shower
Bamboo floors were
installed throughout the residence. Floor plans of kitchen and
bathroom were redesigned.
The landscape was cleared
to dirt and redesigned to incorporate an original Canary Palm,
with new fencing and Trex decking. An additional Canary Palm,
lawns, new plantings and a water feature were added.
